Your motorcycle probably has a factory shop service manual that includes a schedule of recommended maintenance intervals, available at an extra cost of course. Most owner manuals focus on operation of the motorcycle and some provide simple instructions on basic maintenance. CS has a large database of manufacturer shop technician manuals, many available for download. Service intervals are important, but should be used as a guideline. That's what a good technician does.
